Winner of the 15th International Dr. Nimmrichter Gedenkturnier – SK Rapid Wien.

From the beginning of the group stages the teams played great games on the perfect pitches despite the bad weather.
After completion of the group stages on Sunday morning, the semi finals followed.
The big Viennese Derby between SK Rapid Wien and FK Austria Wien was a match with much pace, which Rapid Wien could win on penalties. Fortuna Sittard won the second semi final through a last minute goal versus Bayer Leverkusen.

Rapid Wien und Fortuna Sittard played the final in front of fully occupied stands. The Dutch took the lead twice, but Rapid Wien fought back and did score an equalizer each time. The final had to be decided in a penalty shoot-out, the goalkeeper from Rapid Wien made the difference and helped his team to win the tournament with some great saves.
